Hi,
I have all next week off. Im gonna be near Bryson City and hoping to sink all week. Sink spots has too little beta on tuck hole other than it is epic. What do I need to look for to make driving there worthwhile? I couldnt find anything about it on youtube either...it really epic? Just moved and don't know much south of the Fayetteville.
What else it worth driving to? Seems like tuck is my best bet, but would love to hear other suggestions. Maybe leslie near the ocoee? Only shows 1 generator on predictions page...
Thanks.

I don't know anything about it. If you go take some video so we can see what it's like.
Nolichucky (Cowbell) looks to be at a decent level right now.
https://waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/uv?03465500The Hiawassee (Leslie) should be stabbing distance for you, but indeed it doesn't look like they have been doing much 2 generator releases though and that is not likely to change unless there is some rain.
https://www.tva.com/Environment/Lake-Levels/ApalachiaThe recreational releases on the Hiawassee don't kick in for another month.

The best spot on the Tuck that I've found is Island Park (Devil's Dip) in Bryson City. There's multiple places to go head under throughout the rapid. The best is the confluence at the bottom of the Island. 10-15 sec rides at good flows. I suspect a highly trained zombie could go longer linking multiple drop zones together. 1000-2000+ cfs

Oh BT50 - another idea if you are still off work is the Y on the Little in the Smokies. This recent rain ought to do it for levels.
