I'll be they'd be ticked, but would have to let you go w/ an inflatable. They have no foam & rely on a CO2 cartridge to provide the floatation. Best part is w/ no foam, they don't take up much space in the boat. Until you pull the cord to inflate it, it's worthless. It is a USCG type III, so I'm guessing it would meet the letter of the law if not the spirit.

Cabela's has them on sale right now for $74.95.
